Dear Peanut,
Its been 12 weeks now that your tiny little body has been forming in mommy's womb. Your daddy and I are so eager to meet you, we can hardly stand it. As I speak, your daddy is at home painting your room while mommy is out of town for work.
We want so many things for you little one. We want you to always feel loved, safe, and secure. Most importantly though, we want you to know Jesus, who brings freedom beyond belief in this sometimes difficult world.
We pray for you every night. We imagine what you will be like. And most of all, we trust that God is making you exactly who you need to be. We will love the good, the bad, and the ugly (since we all have a little ugly in us too). But I can promise you, we will not be perfect. But it's my prayer that our imperfections, we will continue to learn together how to be vulnerable, how to apologize, how to recognize and validate our feelings, and get back up when we fall. Your dad and I want to model lives of integrity, service, and deep faith in a relational God.
I read the other days, that you are starting to develop bones. These little bones will be the strong foundation for your little body to develop and move. I want you to be physically strong, but mostly, I want you to have a strong emotional foundation you know to be resilient and loving.
I am praying for you, peanut. Keep up the hard work of growing strong and healthy. Mommy loves you so much. I am so blessed to have the responsibility to be your mom. May I steward the responsibility well.
All my love,
Mommy
